Obtaining a visa form Nigeria at the UK embassy costs about N46,800. There are different types of visas and these documents are peculiar to all. There is also no doubt that the fees change from time to time differs.

Fees for a Short-term visa that lasts for up to six months cost $125 (₦45,000). For Longer-term visa that lasts for up to ten years you will have to pay about $1074 (~₦386,600). Longer-term visa that lasts for about five years costs $857 (~₦308,500). Longer-term visa of about two years cost $472 (~₦170,000).

Provisions are also made for visitors in transit as they will be required to pay $87 (~₦31,300) for their visa. However, the UK embassy and their website is best to give you current prices as information changes would be available there.

Visit the website: visa-fees.homeoffice.gov.uk for relevant information regarding specific and up to date information To visit their office in Lagos, locate No. 11 Walter Carrington Crescent, Victoria Island, Lagos.

And in Abuja, locate Plot 1137, Diplomatic Drive, Central Business District, Abuja.

It should be noted that visiting visas are granted for a period of 3-6 months and it takes about 15-90 days to complete the process.
